Yuan-Ti are an extremely intelligent, yet evil race of snake people that live on the surface of Faerun. There are many varieties of Yuan-Ti, but the type found here on TorilMUD are halfbreeds -- half-snake and half human. They possess the heads and lower bodies of snakes, and have the arms and mid-section of a human. Yuan-Ti have no ears, legs or feet, and therefore cannot use ear, leg or footwear, nor can they use mounts.
Closely resembling the cobra, the eyes of the Yuan-Ti are yellow, with black slitted pupils, and their body scales usually mimic the colorful, diamond-shaped patterns of the cobra's hood.
The Snake People are deeply religious and their lives are wholly centered around reptiles, which they highly revere, and their Gods. They live in communities and worship in a manner reminiscent of the Aztec Indians -- building huge pyramid-like temples that have ramps instead of stairs and practicing cannabilism and inter-racial sacrifice.
In a manner similar to snakes, Yuan-Ti are required to consume huge amounts of food once per MUD week. They also possess mild innate psionic abilities.
